As a Lindsay High School student I had imagined myself having a fun and enjoying senior year. Do not get me wrong it has been six great months of senior year. These past six months have come with lots of fun. However along with all those fun moments, senior year responsibilities came along. One of the most important tasks that we as seniors have to accomplish is Senior Exit Interview. This specific task is filled with lots of different emotions. I am very nervous to share with my panelist a little about me and what I have done at Lindsay High School. One of the things that I am very excited to share is my future plans. Even though I am on university track I feel that going to SJVC rather than going to a four year as of now for me it is the best. I want to stay close to home for now. Even though I was part of ASB my sophomore year I was not involved as much because I did not have much self-confidence to put myself out there and participate on school activities. I feel like these past two years of high school have been the best by far. As upper classmen I began getting more involved in school activities. Last year as a junior in ASB myself and a group of friends helped plan out world cup week. World cup week is a week filled with lots of fun activities to celebrate our girls and boys soccer teams for their effort put in the season. Last year and this year I also helped out at Santa Night at the Police Department. During this event I helped pass out toys for many kids in the community. It is such a great and fun experience. Being able to see the faces of those kids light up when they see all those toys is one of the greatest things. Ballet Floklorico is a new club on campus this year. At the beginning of the year we had many struggles with the club. It was hard to get some organization with that many members in the club. A few weeks into school the officers and the club advisor were able to get some organization and make the best out of the club. After many weeks of practice we were able to put a dance together. It took a lot of practice and effort to get it down but we got it. I and a few other girls had the opportunity to perform at the October Fest at Lindsay High School.
One of the hardest things that I have come across while at Lindsay High School is probably to build up on my courage and ask questions. I am a very shy person when it comes to speaking to adults. I want to ask questions and have the opportunity to build up on my knowledge. However it is very hard for me to find the right time and words to ask questions. I often feel like I am about to ask dumb questions or I feel like I am bothering the teacher. Therefore I rather not ask any questions at all. I truly hope that in the future I can become less shy.
